Sixth Episcopal District

The 134th elected and consecrated Bishop of the A.M.E. Church, assigned to the Sixth Episcopal District in 2024. A native of Perry, Florida, he pastored Saint Stephen A.M.E. Church in Jacksonville for twenty-four years before his election to the episcopacy.

South Atlanta District

A native of Rome, Georgia, Rev. Hudson was appointed Presiding Elder of the South District of the Atlanta North Georgia Conference in 2014 and reappointed in 2024. He leads the District’s twenty-four pastors and churches across Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, and Fayette counties.

Summer in the District

Saturday, June 6 · District Planning Meeting

The work continues through the summer—planning, fellowship, and worship.

Presiding Elder Rev. Dr. Larry W. Hudson, Sr. invites the District to the Planning Meeting at Flat Rock AME Church, and we gather as a nation to remember Juneteenth and to honor the fathers of our congregations. The season closes with the Christian Education Leadership Congress in Augusta.
